2 eighths and 3 eighths make 5 eighths, the same way 2 apples and 3 apples make 5 apples. The game makes that feel obvious.

How the game teaches adding fractions
The classic mistake is adding the bottoms too: 1/4 + 2/4 = 3/8. It's such a natural slip that the game offers it as a wrong answer on purpose. A kid who picks it sees the mistake on the spot, because the box they just filled is clearly not 3/8 of a pie.
Combine Boxes makes the idea physical. Drag two boxes of the same pie together and the slices pile into one box. Slices stay the same size, so only the count changes, and the bottom number stays put. A customer eating some turns the same idea into subtraction.
Which mini games you'll play
- Combine Boxes: drag two boxes together, then choose the total
- Frosting Fill: fill the cake to 2/8 + 3/8
- Delivery Line: ride the bike to the answer on the number line
- Oven Check: is 3/10 + 4/10 = 7/20 true?
- Cookie Conveyor and the prize rounds: pick the sum
